I am Denise, a Business Mentor and Company Turnaround Consultant.
I have a Level 5 in Professional Business & Enterprise Services from SFEDI
With over 40 years in industry, from being employed, a sole trader to running an Internationally renowned Interior Design / Furnishings business as its CEO. Having mentored others to succeed along the way, from my own staff, as a Talent Match Mentor for the Prince’s (now King’s) Trust, Students in the EKC group and many SMEs in my private practice.
In 2019 I retired from Hamiltons International Ltd after 30 years, and worked part time for the EKC group, as an Industry Liaison Officer. I coached students from Level 2 right up to BA to start and run successful businesses and get worthwhile and meaningful work experience.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, I was approached by many business owners who needed to diversify or relaunch their businesses. Also many others who had been furloughed or made redundant and needed to become self employed.
That’s when I started up Black Swan Mentors and helped many people reinvent themselves and their business to keep their finances on track.
With my no nonsense, no frills , bespoke advice. So many people have turned their working lives around and haven’t looked back.

In 2023 I helped establish Launch It ( Kent ) on the Isle of Sheppey, empowering young start ups ( 18-30) to grow and succeed. In my private practice I specialise in 40+ to help them turn their working lives around.
